DDT

DDT is the common name for an insecticide. It's melting point is 108.5 degrees celsius and it is insoluble in water but it is very soluble in ethanol and acetone, colorless, odourless and it is especially useful for killing pests such as mosquitoes, flies etc:

It is also known as 'DICHLORO DIPHENYL TRICHLOROETHENE'.Here is a picture of a DDT bottle:

Chemistry jokes

"Do you know about Sodium?"
"Na."

One atom to another atom, "I just lost an electron."
2nd atom: "Are you sure?"
"I am positive."

What is Barium + Sodium + Sodium ?
BaNaNa

A neutron walks into a restaurant and orders a couple of cokes. As she is about to leave, she asks the waiter how much she owes. The waiter replies, "For you, No Charge!!!"

Helium walks into a bar,
The bar tender says "We don't serve noble gasses in here."
Helium doesn't react.

If H2O is the formula for water, what is the formula for ice?
H2O cubed.

WHAT IS AN ATOM,MOLECULE,ELEMENTS,COMPOUNDS AND MIXTURES?

  1. ATOM

An atom is the smallest particle of a substance.Atoms may or may not exist independently.Atoms are very small that you can hardly see it.Here is a picture of an atom:

  • MOLECULE
Molecules are formed when two or more atoms join together.Molecules can exist independently. Here is a picture of a molecule:
  • ELEMENT
An element is a substance that is made up of only one kind of atom and cannot be broken into simpler substances by chemical means. Here is a picture of an element
  • COMPOUND
A compound is a substance that has been formed when 2 or more elements combine chemically.
Here is a picture of a compound:
  • MIXTURES
Mixtures consist of 2 or more substances simply mixed together but not chemically combined.
Here is a picture of a mixture:

  • Al - Aluminium
  • Ar - Argon
  • Au - Gold
  • Ag - Silver
  • At - Astatine
  • Ac - Actinium
  • Am - Americium
These are the formulas which starts with 'A'.Hope you liked it.Did I missed any? Thanks for seeing it.

PHYSICS

Physics is a very important subject that is more important than chemistry. If you are a genius, you will be able to solve this:

                                                            E = Mc2

The full form of it is [energy = mass * velocity of light squared]
OH MY GOD!!!
Just think how fast it must be travelling. That means in one second it can travel more than 7 planets.I am really shocked.Let me know your thoughts in a comment.

What is chemistry?

Chemistry is another part of science like physics or biology.Chemistry is divided into:
  • Organic chemistry
  • Inorganic chemistry
Chemistry is a part of science whose central concerns are:
  • The structure and behaviour of atoms (elements)
  • The composition and properties of compounds
  • The reactions between substances with their accompanying energy exchange
  • The laws that unite these phenomena into a comprehensive system.
Chemistry evolved from the medieval practice of alchemy. It's bases were laid by such men as Boyle, Lavoisier, Priestly, Berzelius, Avogadro, Dalton and Pasteur.

Chemistry is also the study of matter and energy and the interactions between them. This is also the definition for physics, by the way. Chemistry and physics are specializations of physical science. Chemistry tends to focus on the properties of substances and the interactions between different types of matter, particularly reactions that involve electrons. Physics tends to focus more on the nuclear part of the atom, as well as the subatomic realm. Really, they are two sides of the same coin.
Chemistry is also natural. It not only includes chemicals and elements but it also includes forest and all the other natural resources.
In some ways, physics might be considered more "fundamental" to the extent that it deals with matter and energy in a more general way, without the emphasis on particular substances. But the distincion can get pretty fuzzy; it is ultimately rather futile to confine any aspect of human endeavour to little boxes.
Chemistry is almost the central of all the sciences.Take a look at the picture below and you will understand everything:
Chemistry: the central science

INTRODUCTION

I am a very simple man who likes chemistry very much.I would be creating this blog for people who needs help on chemistry. This is the fun to learn process.Firstly people should learn the basics like what is chemistry?.This website is from classes 6-9 for those who need help.So please visit my blog to learn more about chemistry.Thank you for seeing this post.

This is a picture of mixing two chemicals.I think its copper sulphate.I would be posting more pictures and videos.WARNING RED ALERT: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.If you guys try it this will happen to you:
